Here's a tutorial on how to make the pom pom: http://www.kid-craft-central.com/pom-poms.html

Attach pom pom, ears and mouth to your preference.

Add black buttons for eyes using black thread.

For strings: using 12 long pieces of yarn, fold them in half, put the loop through the bottom of the ear flap, and pull the yarn through the loop. Braid.

  1. Hello, I love this pattern, it's perfect and I can't wait to make it! Thank you so much for posting it!
I was just wondering what size it makes (i.e. what's the circumference or diameter?)I know it depends on gauge and everything; but I was just wondering how big yours was.
    Thank you!

    1. Thank you so much! The diameter of the hat is 10.5" (I designed it to be looser because the cartilage in my right ear broke and healed wrong so wearing tight hats hurts me) and it's 7 1/2" tall. I hope this helps! :)

  2. Bonjour, pourriez-vous me donner les explications pour ce tricot en français ?
    Merci ;-)

  3. I'm sorry, but I only took French language classes for three years. I wouldn't even know how to explain it.

^Je suis désolé, mais je n'ai pris que des cours de français pendant trois ans. Je ne sais même pas comment l'expliquer.

    Merci

  4. What is the gauge? Or what size crochet hook did you use?

    1. I don't have a gauge for it, but I believe I used a 5.0mm hook. I wouldn't have used more than a 5.5mm.

  5. Would it be possible for you to upload a photo of the back, so I can see how you joined the colours? I'm still learning how to crochet and am not sure if I'm doing it right :/

    1. I created this when I wasn't too great at joining colours either so mine was a little sloppy. I used this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nHOb1Aio84) to teach myself the technique, just using my own pattern. I hope this helps!
